After-Abortion Care
Many women and men view abortion as the solution to their problem and may feel initial relief following the abortion. However, it can be the beginning of many struggles.
“The Mourning After” (women) and “Fatherhood Aborted” (men) are free programs run by CPC for those who have been impacted by a past abortion. The sessions are facilitated by a loving and compassionate CPC volunteer who knows firsthand the hurts and struggles that may be faced including (but not limited to):
- Feelings of loneliness or isolation
- Increased tendency toward anger
- Lower Self-Confidence
- Eating Disorders
- Emotional Deadening
- Insomnia or Nightmares
- Difficulty Maintaining Relationships
- Use of Alcohol or Drugs.
